Artificial Life is a chaotic generative video oscillator unit. A set of 4 greyscale video oscillators linked in various signal based feedback loops are at your control for real time control over evolving lifelike complex structures. Video inputs via usb or analog signals can be used as phase offsets for extra levels of entropy in ones video compositions.

Bare Bones
comes with the video processing unit in a lightweight enclosure, power supply, and analog video breakout cables. USB video source and control sources will need to be sourced elsewhere. This is a great option for someone who already has their own usb midi and usb camera sources on hand
Capture Bundle
comes with the video processing unit, power supply, analog video breakout cables, premapped usb midi controller, and usb dongles for capturing analog video via yellow rca and s-video and for capturing digital video via HDMI. this is the best option if you have a lot of analog video equipment you want to run through Artificial Life!

FOUR INDEPENDENT VIDEO OSCILLATORS LINKED IN FEEDBACK LOOPS
Artifical Life introduces the concept of ‘signal feedback’ to the VSERPI system. In contrast to video feedback, signal feedback is a more flexible and abstract approach to signal processing as it allows for a very small set of parameters to have an unpredictably large number of possible behaviors. What this means for users is that this means a changing a small number of parameters just a tiny amount can result in drastically different oscillating systems. Or in other words
